Your information
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This policy covers the Growly learning app (iOS and Android, application identifier com.vexar.growly) and getgrowlyapp.com. It does not describe other apps that may have their own privacy policies. For questions or requests about Growly data, contact support@getgrowlyapp.com.
1. Information used by the app
- Account and profile: your account identifier, email address and profile details you provide. If you choose Apple or Google sign-in, we receive the account information made available through that sign-in. Supabase provides authentication and stores account data.
- Learning activity: your chosen subjects, goals and language, lesson progress, quiz results, streaks, XP and saved preferences. We use this information to operate learning features and synchronize your account. Some preferences and cached content are also stored on your device.
- Subscriptions: RevenueCat processes your app account identifier, store purchase and transaction information, and subscription status to provide premium access and restore purchases. Apple or Google handles payment information; Growly does not receive your full payment card details.
- AI Coach: when you send a message, your message, recent conversation, name if provided, preferred language and learning preferences are sent through our authenticated Supabase backend to Google's Gemini models on Vertex AI to generate a response. The backend keeps account-linked request counts and timestamps to enforce usage limits. Avoid entering passwords, payment details, health information or other sensitive personal information in chat. AI output can be inaccurate.
- Usage analytics: PostHog receives screen and app-lifecycle events, device/app information and an automatically generated analytics identifier. Growly does not deliberately attach your email address to these events. A generated identifier is not a promise that all technical data is anonymous.
- Crash and performance diagnostics: Sentry receives error reports, stack traces, app/device details and performance/network diagnostics to help us find problems. Growly does not explicitly bind your Growly account identifier or email to Sentry events.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, we use your reminder settings and a device push token associated with your account. Expo and the Apple or Google notification services deliver push notifications. You can turn notifications off in Growly or your device settings.
- Support and reports: information you send in support requests or content/AI reports is used to investigate and respond. Reports can include the reported content and your account identifier. Do not send passwords or full payment card details.
2. Website information
This website provides app information and legal/support pages. It does not take subscription payments or require an account. Opening a support email link launches your chosen email service; it does not send a message automatically. Our hosting and network providers, including Cloudflare, process technical request information such as IP addresses and browser/request headers to deliver and protect the website.
3. Why information is processed and who receives it
We use information to deliver the features you request, maintain account and subscription access, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. Our service providers process the information needed for their roles:
- Supabase: authentication, database and backend functions.
- Google Cloud / Vertex AI: generating AI Coach replies.
- RevenueCat: subscription and purchase status.
- PostHog: app usage analytics.
- Sentry: error and performance diagnostics.
- Expo, Apple and Google: app distribution, updates, sign-in, payments or notification delivery, as applicable.
- Cloudflare: website delivery and security.
Providers may process information outside your country. Their own terms and policies describe their processing and retention. We do not promise zero retention of AI prompts: Google Cloud may retain certain information for safety, abuse monitoring or other service purposes under its applicable terms. Growly does not sell personal information or use your AI messages for advertising.
4. Retention and security
Account and learning data is kept while needed to operate your account and the features you use. Support, security and transaction records may need to remain for their purposes or applicable legal obligations. Deletion from active systems does not necessarily remove every backup or a provider's independently retained records immediately. We use authenticated access and HTTPS for communications, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your choices and account deletion
You can edit supported profile settings and manage notification permissions in the app. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a copy of your information. Contact support from the email associated with your account; we may need to verify ownership before acting on a request.
Delete your Growly account: open Settings in Growly and choose Delete Account, or follow the web deletion instructions. You do not need to reinstall the app to email a deletion request. The app confirmation describes deletion timing. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it separately through the store.
6. Children and family requests
If you are a parent or guardian concerned about information a child has provided to Growly, contact support so we can investigate and address the request. A store's content age rating is not the same as a legal age of consent for personal-data processing. Applicable consent and guardian requirements depend on your location.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. The date above identifies this version. Privacy and account requests can be sent to support@getgrowlyapp.com. See support for more help.
